Funding Freedom for a Student Midwife and her Child

Raising funds on behalf of myself and my son. I have been trapped in an increasingly violent relationship for the last four years.

I am a student midwife and midwifery school takes a significant amount of my time and funds and being on call for births makes holding a traditional job outside of the occasional doula work very difficult. If I cannot show up to births, I risk losing my place and my preceptor in school.

We need to get away completely. I have to be able to pay for school and my son’s therapy and medical bills, as well as housing. Midwifery school is very taxing financially even with a great support system and partner, and leaving permanently is taking away the family support I had.

I need to pay for a month of bills, a deposit for a lawyer, and a safe place to sleep until I can pick up the keys to my new place, and gas to get to all of those places.

Any money left over will go directly to buying furniture, groceries, and house necessities since all I could get out of the house were some irreplaceable keepsakes and my son and our animals
