Funds for Replacement Wheelchair after Hit & Run Car Crash

On Tuesday 1st, around 12:30pm, I was hit by a car while sat in my self-propelling powered wheelchair on the Riverside of Malpas Road near HTS apartments. The driver of the other vehicle did not stop after the collision, I've since been admitted to hospital and I expect to make a full recovery. Thankfully the injuries that I sustained were non-life threatening and I have now returned home. As a result of this I am unable to afford the replacements and short term rental wheelchair costs. Meaning that I will be housebound until I can afford this. I would therefore like to make a direct appeal to the members of our community.

The damage that my wheelchair sustained means that on discharge I will be stuck at home, thankfully my lease agreement means I can replace it relatively simply, however this will cost me at least £1,500 out of pocket due to the co-pay of my useless insurance policy and the adjustments that my wheelchair had on it.

I receive PIP disability benefits, meaning I am able to afford the monthly lease agreement payments going forward. The money I raise will be used to -
