The Amnesiacs are an 18-piece big band dedicated to playing the music of Radiohead. The ensemble explores and reimagines the genius writing of Thom Yorke in a traditional big band setting, creating an exhilarating fusion between the two genres.
The Amnesiacs are launching a campaign to continue the trailblazing work they have been committed to.
The aim of this campaign is to raise $5000 to go toward commissioning Australian composers and arrangers to write for The Amnesiacs. These composers and arrangers will be from both Perth and around Australia. We’ll be looking at sourcing 8-10 compelling new works.
The community's support is invaluable to ensure this project is launched and the musicians are able to share this unique body of work with the public.
If you would like to commission a whole piece the fee is $500, your name will go on the work as “generously donated by ___" for your contribution.
We are really looking forward to the prospect of contributing to new, exciting works and would be highly appreciative of any donation.
