Funding for new wheelchair accessible vehicle

Hi im Garren Edwards, a traditional Gumbaynggirr descendant. I live along the mid north coast of New South Wales, in a small town called Nambucca Heads. Nambucca Heads is well known for its beautiful rivers and waters. If you have been to Nambucca you would know how unique and special this place is. To me growing up here I loved seeing the scenery of our pristine beaches and rivers, I loved getting out and about with family and friends. This included playing sports which was my passion.
Unfortunately, due to an accident in 1999, I have been an incomplete quadriplegic and faced many challenges at the early age of 16. It didn’t stop me being me with a smile on my face and starting a Dj business which I love playing for parties or events. Since then I have had limited access to a lot of things that I love doing, and now because of Covid I have been restraint to being at home. My wheelchair access bus recently got hit by a camper van and it was due to be reregistered. But I couldn’t because it was written off and I didn’t have insurance.

What I am looking for is a wheelchair accessible car that will allow me to go to doctor’s appointment, social outings, travel, get to business gigs when I can again and many more opportunities for me. I have had limited access to areas without having to drive up big steep hills, gravelled unlevelled roads, slopes and bends in my wheelchair which has led to some falls. Also I’ve been bared for life from our local community taxi services, due to the taxi owner with no probable reason.  I started this GO FUND ME PAGE in hopes to raise $30,000 so I can have my own independents back and to travel to the places that I would love to travel to without having to worry about the weather, stuck when out, parts of depression setting in again, and most importantly able to visit my family and friends who I love. Any donation will be much appreciated and gets me one step closer to being independent with not having to worry about no transport.
