Funding for MFA in Creative Writing

Akpa's story:

I am Àkpà Árìnzéchukwu; a Nigerian writer & translator. I recently got accepted to Chapman University for an MFA in Creative Writing, which is fully funded. This means for the next two years, I will be dedicating my life to studying and understanding mechanics of poetics/craft. It is a dream of mine which has materialised, and has made me hopeful about what the future holds for me.

However, as an international student, relocating to the United States costs more than I can afford.

I would be grateful if you could assist me in any way you could.

Below is a breakdown of what I need money for:

Sevis fee: $350 (£131.76)

Visa fee: $160 (£288.22)

Accommodation: $1100 (£905.84)

Flight: $2500 (£2058.72)

Total: $4110 (£3384.54) + fees for international transfers = £3500.00
