Hello, I’m Rosslyn and I aim to help others find their light.

My coach once told me that everyone comes into the world as a whole. But over time, due to various life experiences, parts of ourselves get concealed in our daily grind. My goal now is to be a coach to help others uncover their hidden parts, so that they can achieve wholeness and glow again. To do this, I am enrolling in workshops and programs so I can fulfill my goal.

The two major programs I’m enrolling for are Living Your Authentic Life Program  (by Sarita Chawla) and Integral Coaching Certification Program  (by New Ventures West).

About me.

I’m an Experience Designer. I used to be a design trainer back at home, and now I want to move into the larger space where I can touch more lives.

I went through rough patches and had my fair share of troubles growing up. And even as an adult, I’m still haunted by past experiences every now and then. I’ve been through helpless moments, not understanding the challenges in life and how to stand up to them. I numbed myself to my own suffering but I still could not help feeling it from others around me. I can’t bear to see people living lesser lives because they couldn't articulate the conflicts within them. I don’t wish to see another me.

Two years ago, a light came on in me, and I told myself enough was enough. I embarked on this journey of self-discovery and transformation. I want to heed my calling to heal and soothe. I don’t wish to see anyone go through the same darkness as I did, feeling all alone and helpless. When I see people going through tough times, I want to reach out to them. 

It will be naive to say a world can be without suffering. But that doesn’t mean I should continue looking away from suffering. I want to take on an active role to help others manage better.  I'm working towards flourishing in the sun and I wish the same for others.

Raised in a traditional Asian family where seeking help outside the family is disapproved and frowned upon, I was constantly told not to hang my dirty laundry in public. Starting from here, I'm putting myself out there to request for support. I want to believe that there will be people out there who will hear me, catch me and walk with me. And I want to use this opportunity to share with my dad that there will be people out there who will catch and hold us.

My Cause.

I am dedicating myself to helping others find their light. I desire to be a coach who can help others see themselves for who they truly are, and to envision and rewrite new narratives for themselves. With their new narratives, they can self-correct current behaviours that limit their potential, generate new practices that help them achieve a life of long-term excellence. To be an effective instrument for them, I need to deepen my competence as a coach, so that I can use what I learn to empower them.

To achieve this, I need to undergo training to develop my voice, insight, and power. I’m currently based in Washington D.C. with my programs spanning over the next year in Virginia and San Francisco. All the funds raised will go towards covering my course training fees, course materials, travel expenses, and accommodation, etc. Your support to get me through my year of learning will go a long way.
