On February 23, 2019 around midnight, my uncle went into cardiac arrest. He was transported to the U of MN - Medical Center and has been fighting to stay with his family since then. He had to go into emergency heart surgery, and we discovered he had 3 clogged arteries and has been living with heart disease.
Throughout this battle, my uncle has been hanging on to all the strength he has. The doctors told us he had 24-48 hours to live, and he surprised us all by fighting through that prognosis.
As he continues to heal, he is being thrown obstacles that we hope he can fight and overcome. From broken teeth, having to be on dialysis due to liver failure, and to even surviving a stroke, we are so proud of how far he has come and we hope he continues to fight through this tough battle.
My uncle has a wife and two beautiful kids - Nick (15) and Nadia (9).
At this time, I am reaching out to the community for prayers and strength. Anything helps.
My uncle worked tirelessly to provide for his family. Always giving, giving, giving. Never expecting anything in return. We are all left with such a huge void, but we are continuing to stay hopeful.
Recognizing the family's long term needs, well wishes are more than welcome on this go fund me page that I have established to help my aunt and her kids during this time.
