Funding for "Flattoppers" a new short film
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Patrick Cuervo Dwyer. I am a New York City-based filmmaker, founder of New End Pictures and the writer/director and editor of the new short film: 'Flattoppers'. In the past, my short films have screened at festivals both domestically and abroad including the Aphrodite Film Festival and the International Shorts Festival.

Taking its name from the eponymous sandwich cart run by the film's protagonist, 'Flattoppers' follows the story of a court-mandated anger management group therapy program and the characters enrolled in it.
'Flattoppers' explores themes of anger, frustration, toxic masculinity, addiction, feelings of inadequacy, failure and living on the fringes of society. (It's a comedy).
'Flattoppers' doesn't condemn nor does it moralize and prescribe these characters a remedy-- instead, the aim is to humanize those who are so easy to cast aside. And although there is no redemptive outcome built into the script, the film leaves space for change---the possibility for these individuals to heal.
We have assembled an excellent cast and crew for this film, and the funds we raise will go to paying them for their time and efforts. The rest of the budget will go towards covering all of the expenses that come with making a film (equipment, set pieces, food for actors, props/costumes, location rentals, gas for transportation, post-production, promo/marketing, festival submission fees etc.).
Any amount that you can contribute is incredibly appreciated.
Thank you!
