My name is Amy and I'm Irish.

I lived & worked in Gaza for over a year & met many amazing people during my time there. One of which is my friend Tasneem who I worked closely together with in an NGO. We shared many good times & lots of laughter together. She was one of the hardest working people in the office. She made me feel at home in a foreign land in the typical ever gracious Palestinian way.

Now my friend Tasneem needs my help to raise crucial funding to support the evacuation & resettlement of her & her family.

Tasneem, has shared her own words about her life & hopes for the future below.

The recent war in Gaza has caused me and my family to lose our beloved home along with our dreams inside it. We are a family of four, my husband Maher 39 years old, myself a 34 years old born in UAE, studied accounting and then dedicated myself to the humanitarian sector from the start of my career. My little princess Mira a 10 year old girl who likes drawing, painting and writing stories and my little prince Kenan a 6 year old boy who is an amazing football player, who also loves playing with LEGOs and builds amazing things from his imagination.

We had fled for our lives under the continued airstrikes and bombing on 10th October and since then we cannot return. My kids keep asking about our home, when they can return and about their beautiful life details. I do not have the courage to tell them that their home is destroyed. There is no life left for us in Gaza, no schools, no electricity, no water and no food.

Your generous support will help us in leaving Gaza where the cost of it is from 5000 to 7000 USD per adult and 2500 to 4500 USD for kids less than 16. The cost for survival is very high. More than that, It will support us in resettling in Egypt and help us in finding ways to restart our life and stand on our own feet again.
