Hi, My name is Eli Ray, and I am raising money to go to Endurance DTS. Endurance DTS is one of YWAM Montana's discipleship training schools that they offer. YWAM Montana's mission is, "Together we commit to the communication of the gospel by training, sending, supporting and being missionaries." YWAM focuses not only on training students but also on applying what they have learned because Matthew 28: say’s," Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” What will I be doing? The Endurance DTS is focused on connecting with God in His creation, getting to know Him in the outdoors. The first three months is the lecture phase. Each week there is a different topic of discussion and a specific speaker for it. For several of the weeks, I will be backpacking in the mountains or a national park with the speaker and mentor for that week. Following is the Outreach phase. During the lecture phase, the outreach locations will be given for us to pray into and see where God wants us to go. When the time comes, the group for that location will get on a plane and spread the gospel in that Country/State. Why YWAM? I have chosen YWAM because they focus not only on growing in the knowledge of the Word of God but also on knowing Him and seeking Him on the daily. Every week, there is time set aside for worship, group prayer, and developing a skill or passion. We all have passions and skills in life, and WYAM will help me take these and learn how to use them in missions. God has called me into ministry. I don't know if that is an overseas missionary, pastor, or something completely different and unique. I have struggled to try to figure out what exactly God has called me to do in my life, but I know he will reveal it when the time is right. His timing is perfect and holy, even when I don't understand. God has put YWAM Montana on my heart, and I fully believe this is what God has called me to do in this season and I will continue to trust Him for the next steps after YWAM. In total, I need $10,000. $5,400 for the Lecture Phase, $3,400 for the Outreach Phase, and $1,200 for additional expense and required gear for various outdoor activities.
