Funding For Dance Film "V - Keep Moving"

Hi everyone, thank you so much for supporting this project. I’m so excited to say that Keep Moving is officially completed and on YouTube and Vimeo. The last step we have is to submit to dance film festivals, to share this film with others. As of 5/19/2023 we have $3,400 raised for production. The remainder of the year and beginner of 2024 we will be submitting to film festivals. Follow our IG @vkeepmoving to stay updated with where the film goes!

Hi, my name is Colin and I am a Photographer, videographer, and professional dancer/choreographer based in Long Beach. I am trying to find funding to help create my first big short film "V - Keep Moving", before leaving school as a Dance Major at Cal State University Long Beach.

This film is about the 5 stages of grief, and how we get through these stages during times of great loss. Each stage is represented with an individual section, showing 5 people going through one of the 5 stages. This dance film aims to use dance as a way to capture the feelings that come with grieving and how people can come together to lift each other up from times of great hardship.

All funds donated will go to secure shooting spaces, equipment rentals, as well as production and submission fees.

Following the completion of the project, I plan on submitting to dance film festivals to serve as a jumping-off point to get work in the industry as a Creative Director and Choreographer.
