Funding for Bronze

Hi
My Name is Marie, owner of Mutts n Moggies Motel
We recently rescued a Mum and 4 kittens and after our appeal on Facebook to find loving homes for them, we received an email from a distressed lady with a 5 month old Kitten, a Russian Blue. The poor little boy has been having seizures and the lady couldn't afford any blood tests or any other treatment and was worried she would have to have him euthanised.

I was busy at work and the lady called so I suggested calling Family Friends vets and asked for them to sign the kitten over so it can receive treatment with a view to finding him a new home with an owner that can financially support any on going health problems in the future.

Family friends did sign him over luckily and gave him medication for the seizures.
Subo, the vet, took him home that afternoon but was going on holiday the next day so asked for me to look after him at mine. How could I say no!
Family friends said he needed a referral to a specialist hospital.
I emailed the referral hospital begging for them to take him on and said I would try to raise some money for his treatment.
The amazing hospital came back ( I can't name where he is) agreeing to hospitalise him and do a work up to get a diagnosis and hopefully treatment.

With a young kitten showing these signs, the vets think it could possibly be a Portosystemic Shunt. This can be treated with medication initially and then once the kitten is bigger he could have surgery to treat the problem.

All these procedures would cost a lot of money and myself being a nurse know how much all the veterinary medication, equipment, staffs wages cost and the referral have asked for any donations to put towards this.

The referral hospital is amazing to have taken this little boy in to give him a chance.

While I had Bronze at my house he had two seizures, they were very sad to see.
Poor little man becomes lifeless afterwards
The medication he was given can also cause diarrhoea which he did have and this caused him to be lethargic.

I was very grateful the hospital took the little man in as he needed care and more than I can offer.

The hospital called today asking if I can fundraise towards his care.
I hate asking for money from people but I just want to give something back to the hospital and at least cover their running costs.

Bronze had another name previously but with the Lionesses winning we changed it to Bronze after Lucy Bronze the footballer.

If anyone can even spare a pound I will be forever grateful, so will little Bronze as every little donation will help go towards the amazing care he is currently receiving in hospital to help him have an amazing life in the future.

Thank you in advance for any donations
