I'm Jonathan Alger, a longtime friend of Peter, Kate and Grace. I'll get right to the point, because time is pressing in more ways than one.
As you know, Peter is going through the toughest time of them all. It's terribly difficult for him and his family. But for his daughter, it is especially hard.
Peter and Kate's only child — their wonderful daughter Grace — is starting college right now in August, in the middle of all this, far away in Miami. I know the feeling: I lost a family member right when I started college, and life was never the same. Being able to go home a lot that first year meant the world to me, and thankfully I only lived an hour away.
But Grace is going to southern Florida, for four years. She can't just come home every weekend. Nor can someone just stop by her dorm to give her a big hug.
So I need your help right now to fund a four-year family "travel purse". It is a campaign that Kate loves and has approved:

- ... to fund flights between Miami and New York.
- ... so this little family can be together a little more in these tough times.
- With an extra travel fund, Grace can just hop on a plane and come home for a few days.
- And vice-versa.
- Because this money is earmarked, no one has to feel guilty for buying a plane ticket.
