As many of you know, a year ago I adopted a 4-year-old rescue kitty-- Jack-- from Sante D'Or animal shelter.  While my comical, tuxedo-patterned love has been a healthy, happy and loving addition to my household, I learned recently that he had a massive infection in his mouth, including an abscessed canine.  Dental infection in any animal, if not treated, can lead to death.  As such, on November 8th he had 6 of his teeth removed and he is being medicated to eliminate further damage.  They assure me he will be able to eat and thrive- even missing these chompers-- and there is no reason why he wont lead a long, healthy life, albeit with a lop-sided grin. 
He is in the process of recovering and is not out of the woods yet.  As many of you also know, this comes at a time when my former job ended 4 months ago and I am running through my savings struggling to make ends meet.  The procedure and additional treatment have mounted to $1,400.  Three friends have urged me to reach out for help-- that there is no shame in requesting aid.  This amount will cover Jack's treatment.  If we are blessed enough to receive more funds than the cost of Jack's treatment, the excess will be donated to Sante D'Or-- a no-kill shelter for abandoned dogs, cats, rabbits and other critters and helps them find loving forever homes.  Please help us if you can-- ANY amount welcome.  Even if we raise only part of the request, every little bit helps.  Jack is the heart of my home and the light in my day.  Please help me to keep him healthy so he can continue to bring so much joy to my life.   Thank you.
