Funding a wheelchair that suits Luca's needs

Hi, I'm Luca and I'm fundraising for my new wheelchair, one that will suit my needs. You may know that wheelchairs are very expensive, and so as a student this is difficult to fund myself (I am also estranged to biological parents).

Originally, this fundraiser was made to fund 50% of the Aria 1.0 (a manual chair), the other 50% coming from my part time work, vinted, etc... However due to the worsening of my disability, I am now looking into a powerchair, specifically the Whill C2 (£5321.30 with the correct backrest mounting).

I will need to interchange between a powerchair and a manual. However I bought my current wheelchair (the Tilite ZR) second hand and it has become progressively less suitable for my posture needs, so I would have to replace it too. I have looked into the GTM endeavour (£4362.40) and it is a suitable chair, although unfortunately the wait time is 30 weeks. This brings the total cost to £9683.70

To manage buying both chairs I have already sold my backup chair to help with funds (£550). I also plan to sell my current chair once the new ones arrive. This has put me in a somewhat vulnerable position, as in the event of a problem with my current chair, I will lose my independence - and so I'm looking to raise the funds by the end of April at the latest.

Raising the money has been difficult, as unfortunately in the past months I have been working reduced hours due to worsening health. In addition, I had a hospital admission from late January to late February, in which time I was unable to work at all. I am steadily getting back into work since then.

So, this fundraiser will be for £6600, which is approximately 70% of the funds for both chairs. I will continue to work to fund the rest independently.
