Hi, my name is Ivy. I live with my sister, her two children, and their dad. Over the past few months, things have been really tough for us. Their dad lost his job when Walmart changed its DEI policies, which led to many people of color, including him, being let go. After four long months of job searching, he finally found new work, and I’ve been covering our bills to keep us afloat in the meantime.

Unfortunately, we fell behind on rent during that period and just received a ten-day notice to move out. We’ve secured a new apartment where we can finally have a stable place to live, but we don’t have enough saved yet to cover the move-in costs before our next paychecks arrive.

We’re asking for $2,000 to help us move into our new home and avoid homelessness. This support will go directly toward the first month’s rent and deposit. Once we move in, we’ll be able to cover expenses on our own moving forward.
