Anastasia Ciolpan was the victim of a hit and run accident on June 29th in Bethany Beach, DE. Despite heroic efforts, both at the accident scene and with her subsequent medical care, Anastasia did not survive. Anastasia was 20 years old, a student from the Eastern European country of Moldova, who was in the United States for an international experience of summer work and travel. The only daughter among five siblings, Anastasia was the second sibling whose life was lost as a result of a car accident. She was fun-loving, a natural leader and an exceptional employee at The Blue Crab this summer. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her family has made the incredibly generous decision to donate her organs through Gift of Life. Anastasia came to America for the summer filled with hopes and dreams for her future. She leaves behind hopes and dreams to be realized by others through her Gift of Life. We established this campaign to help her family with the many expenses associated with this tragedy. Donations will be delivered directly to Anastasia’s family.
