Carmine Street Guitars needs your help!
We are the last people to want to ask for financial help but our entire business account got drained through a hack and has left us with nothing very fast.
Being in NYC’s West Village and one of the last remaining original staples of the NYC music scene things are not cheap for us and we don’t want to have to close our doors.
We are under a grand larceny investigation now that may take a year to get any finances back. We need to pay our bills, the amazing craftspeople that we work with to make these guitars possible and to keep the shop going in general.
For anybody who doesn’t already know about us:
Our shop is called Carmine Street Guitars and has been in the same location in NYC’s West Village for 40 years now.
Rick Kelly has been building custom guitars under Kelly Guitars since 1968 and has built for everybody from Motley Crüe to Bob Dylan. Rick is world reknown and the best guy who never deserved this invasion of privacy and disruption of business.
This entire thing is going to be a long process and the companies involved are not making anything easy or fast in getting anything back for us.
This is obviously a very stressful position to be in as we want to continue to serve the music community and our friends and family in NYC who count on us for setups, products and making their custom guitar dreams come true.
My name is Cindy Hulej and I have been building alongside Rick Kelly under my own brand Cindy Guitars for the last 15 years.
Again, this is the last thing we wanted to do but it’s a terrible situation and anything anybody can help with will be a major help to us.
Please share our story with friends and through social media if you cannot contribute financially. If you have been looking to purchase a guitar from us we have a lot available currently so that would be amazing too. Please help us reach our goal and thank you all very much.
