My name is Zayveon Leagons, and I am a 17-year-old graduating senior at John Muir High School. I have been accepted to Morgan State University, where I plan to pursue my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
I am raising funds because the cost of my first year is about $45,000, and as a low-income student, this is not something my family or I can afford on our own. Despite working hard in school and staying committed to my goals, financial barriers are now standing between me and my future.
Nursing is more than a career choice for me. Growing up, I saw how important compassionate and skilled healthcare providers are. That experience pushed me to pursue a path that allows me to give back and make a real impact, especially in mental health care.
Your support will go directly toward tuition, housing, books, and other essential college expenses. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings me one step closer to earning my degree and building a career where I can help others.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much to me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for being part of my journey.
