Fund Youth-Led Community Theater!

Hello! My name is Samara Hernandez, and I am a theatre student and fanatic. While away at college, I was able to experience all different kinds of theatre, and ways of creating it. I wanted to bring some of that back to San Jose. I wanted to create a summer theater company, one that allows students in San Jose to get involved in the creation of theatre, as well as the performance aspect of it.

Which is why I, along with my good friend Charlie Osborne, have come together to create just that. Together, we are starting a theatre company this summer called Brainrot Productions! The aim of this company will be to produce a sketch show at the end of the summer. It will involve us brainstorming, writing, editing, directing, and rehearsing the show from the ground up with a bunch of students from all over San Jose. The culmination will be a collection of comedic sketches that we will perform for friends, family, and the community!

But, we need help to get there. Which is where you come in! While as a group, we are pretty certain we can pull the physical resources together to create this, we need a performance space. We have our eyes on a few venues, but our wallets lack the ways to get there. We would appreciate any and all help we can get in order to make this project a reality. By funding our project, you would also be funding community youth-led theater, and the next generation of artists.
