It’s been an incredibly unlucky year in terms of vet bills. I’ve had a couple life threatening emergencies for my dog, Leva, a bladder blockage for my cat Fruitbat, a respiratory infection for Moomin, and now their brother Newt has also had to be rushed to the vet with a bladder blockage. All of these visits have totaled upwards of 3k in expenses, plus the expense of switching them to a more expensive urinary health food from here on out.

It’s put me in a pretty tough position, as I’m between jobs and having to scrape my dwindling savings to cover everything and make sure my pets are still able to receive a good life and get the care they need. I love my animals very much, and I’ve been willing to spend what needs to be spent for them, but there was no budgeting for THIS much bad luck in such a short time frame.
