Fund Tyson's Training to Aid Keith's Parkinson's

My husband, Keith Sharpe, has Parkinson’s and we are looking for help to fund training expenses for our dog to become a service dog for Keith. His job will be stability and mobility. Our dog, Tyson aka Tyty, has been evaluated by Blue Cord K9 and the cost will run around $3000.

We are looking for your help since we are on a fixed income and trying to keep our heads above water, as is everyone else.

Keith's story... About two years ago, he went in for a right shoulder replacement and came out shuffling his feet. At first, we thought he was being cautious, but the shuffling has not gone away and has gotten worse, and all motions are slowed to a crawl. After trying to get into Parkinson’s doctors with an 8-month wait, we finally got one he liked. Now she and the NP have just left the practice, leaving us to find a new doctor again! So now we will be going to Duke University, but that is about a 2-hour drive each way. In the long run, I think that will be the best for Keith.

All we’re trying to do is to help Keith be as mobile as he can with this horrible disease.

Tyson's story. Tyson came to us after our daughter took him in as a foster pup. Well, I fell in love. Keith was very heartbroken after losing his beloved Jack, Dilly. But after many licks, Tyson won him over and they are inseparable. Tyson is a boxer mix and such a good boy. That’s why we decided to get him evaluated to become a service dog. Blue Cord K9 is located near us in NC, so I think they are a perfect fit.
