Sunday, June 23rd, my brother Anthony was on a test drive of a motorcycle when he was struck by an SUV and immediately airlifted to a nearby trauma center.

No words can describe how horrifying it is to hear that a loved one was involved in an accident of this magnitude. Just two weeks ago, our father had a massive heart attack and in the midst of this storm our family was dragged back to a place no family ever wants to be: the ICU waiting to hear if he's okay, let alone if he's even alive.

For several hours my brother was in surgery with a facial reconstruction surgeon (bandages covering this procedure shown) while they placed three plates in his jaw, then proceeded to wire it shut for recovery. Anthony's injuries hug the right side of his body. With his right eye is swollen shut and a few deep stitch-worthy lacerations surrounding, his right lung punctured and collapsed.

As I type this my brother is in surgery with a hand specialist to repair his right hand, his thumb nearly being torn off in the accident.

I'll be using this platform to help try and raise the funds needed to help my brother the best I can, his injuries are continuously updating as they gather more insight to the damage this accident caused and any and all help is appreciated and encouraged. With this in mind, the goal I've set will adjust accordingly.

It's been more than 48 hours and there's still no way to project how long he will remain here in ICU and the extent of the treatment necessary in the days to come. Our family lives hours away from this trauma center and we are paying nightly to stay at a nearby hotel. Without any way of gathering a proper idea of how long his condition will stay like this, the idea of a transfer is out of the question at the moment.

I can't stress enough just how scary this whole process has been and I know in the days to come there will only be more and more stress so any type of financial stress I can help relieve (both with my brother AND my dad) with your help, will make a world of difference.
