Hello!
My name is Hannah and I am a trans-masc filmmaker based in Atlanta, GA. I am raising funds for my next short film project that is near and dear to my heart. It's called "Late to the Party".
Logline: During his 25th birthday party, trans man, Jamie, is met with his painful past pre-transition. He now stands face to face with his former best friend, Carrie, who not only ghosted him after he confessed his feelings for her, but is unaware of his transition and does not recognize him.

This story is for the late bloomers in life who are now experiencing life with their truest selves and the people who support them in their 20s and 30s. It's a story that doesn't center around "coming out" (which doesn't exist but that's another conversation for another day) but after that. Living their lives as who they are and being proud of it. This story is also about closure and reconnection. How sometimes the friends we love and care about come back to find us.
I'm not going to spoil the ending; but it's important to note that this story is queer focused and queering traditional relationships. It's a nod to the nuances of gender and sexuality.
I'm hoping to start production in March of 2022. This is a proof of concept short film that I want to make into a series one day surrounding queer characters of color. It would mean a lot to me if you could help make that into a reality!
Help me raise funds to feed my crew and secure a location!
Thank you so much in advance! And if you can't donate, please share!
