Golden Ray Productions is the brainchild of Holly Simone and Julie Tzivas, through which they seek to produce independent cinema inspired by the fantasy cosplay community. Holly and Julie operate out of both London and New York with their core team members Alfred Sadler, Justin Hendrikse, Chloe Jayne Appleby, and Sydney Rogers.

Training of the Allies draws on the world of Paraithia, an original world created by Holly Simone and Alice Baglietto in 2024. Paraithia is a unique and creative online community open to the public where creatives and cosplayers alike can create their own characters and collaborate with the online social media account to showcase their characters worldwide.

Originally conceived as a three person show shot on a iPhone, the project quickly snowballed as different collaborators joined, bringing a diverse set of skills and experience to the project. The result was a self-funded, community-driven film that they plan to be the first of many.

Gathering of the Allies , the first short film in this anthology series, is a geopolitical alliance original short film set in the Kingdom of Paraithia, on the continent of Phantasia. The film explores themes of power, trust and betrayal, fear and responsibility, cultural division, and the fragility of peace. The film premiered in London and New York with a full audience for both, ahead of a global premier on YouTube in September 2025.

This May, the team is back to continue the story, again drawing on the realities of the geopolitical tension felt around the world, to shed light on the power of alliance and putting aside differences for the greater good. Given talent, crew and production are voluntary for these short films, Golden Ray Productions is seeking backers for our pre-production crowdfunding campaign to help produce our next short film, Training of the Allies. These funds will be used for insurance, vital equipment including camera, lighting, electric and audio, as well as set design including props, set pieces and backdrops.
