This campaign seeks to provide crucial support for Mouath Al-Louh, a young man from Gaza who faces a challenging and rare medical condition. Mouath suffers from a rare
lymphatic gland disorder that has caused severe swelling in his neck and upper back. This condition has plagued him since childhood and has been a source of continuous struggle and bullying. Your contributions can help Mouath access the necessary medical care and support his family during these difficult times.
*Background*
Mouath is the second child in a family of seven, residing in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. The camp has endured relentless bombing, including the tragic hostage rescue massacre. Mouath's condition, coupled with the ongoing conflict, has made life incredibly challenging for him and his family. The frequent bombings and war have added layers of difficulty to their already harsh living conditions.
*Medical Journey*
Due to his appearance, Mouath faced significant bullying and discrimination, which forced him to leave school. Five years ago, he underwent surgery performed by a Turkish medical delegation visiting Gaza in 2017 to remove the swollen glands in his neck. The surgery was initially successful, but unfortunately, the glands have returned and grown larger over time. Mouath now experiences difficulty moving his upper body and lacks the daily medical supplies needed to live a normal life.
*Impact of the Ongoing War*
Since the war began in October 2023, Mouath and his family have been living under the constant threat of airstrikes in Nuseirat. They fled in search of safety to the central region, relying on scarce aid from shelters. They struggle to find pain relievers for Mouath’s condition and basic necessities such as food and clean drinking water. The closure of borders has cut off his access to essential medications, allowing the glands to grow and spread, further limiting his mobility and increasing his pain and fear.
*Mouath's Message*
"Days have passed without food. I left my home under harsh conditions seeking safety. If I cannot live happily, I at least hope to live in good health. I have been suffering from this rare condition since childhood. I feel like a burden to my family, who can barely afford necessities on normal days, and now, during the war, we struggle for food and medicine. Please help me get my medication; I would be grateful for every contribution, no matter how small."
