This morning I brought my beloved baby Tinka to the vet after noticing a mass developing on her front arm. The surgeon is assuming the growth is cancerous and is recommending she needs amputation. I am unable to afford the $11,000+ surgery costs and am at a loss of what to do to help my baby. They said the only options for financial help are loans that I don’t qualify for, and the donations-based program they offer for financial aid is exhausted and the person managing it is out of the office til Monday.
Tinka needs a life saving surgery that I cannot afford on my own and would be eternally grateful for any help.
EDIT: endless thanks to everyone who has us helped out so far ❤️❤️❤️❤️
We received the ultrasound results from the vet and Tinka has cancer in her liver. The only options were the amputation or putting her on opiates for pain medication. There is a chance that she would have done fine with amputation surgery and it would help her mobility, but there is nothing the vet said they could do to slow the growing of cancer in her liver. We decided to take her home and see how she responds to the pain medication over the next few days, and keep her comfy as possible while we monitor to find out if she’s okay with the opiates
Thank you again to everyone who has helped ❤️ Tinka loves you all ❤️❤️❤️❤️
