Fund the Short Film "I Dream at Night"

Hi, my name is Shira Chait and I'm fundraising for my upcoming short narrative film, I Dream at Night. I'm a filmmaker and colorist from New York & Israel, who moved to Austin this past August to attend the Graduate Film Production program at UT Austin Radio-Television-Film Department.

As part of my studies I am now producing and directing a new short film, I Dream at Night, which tells the story of Yahli, a young woman, who unsure of herself, decides to take control of her dream - and quite literally. This short film, labeled our "KB" film, has to be produced, shot, and edited within a three month period, and under 8 minutes. Although the school has provided us with equipment, we receive no financial support.

Therefore, in order to support the small budget of the film, we have opened this fundraiser. All money raised will go to pay for: props, production design, wardrobe, make-up, crafty, and catering. The shoot will take place during a 3 day period at the end of March (3/29-31) and the budget make up will be: $600 dollars for production design, $650 dollars for hot meals and crafty (10 dollars per head x 15 crew and cast members x 3 days = $450, + $200 for 3 days of crafty), and $300 for the professional make-up artist ($100 dollars a day). Any left-over money will be invested in film festivals, likewise distribution, and to pay volunteering crew.
