Fund the return of 'Seeds Under Nuclear Winter' to the Mine

For the last 4 years, a community of over 35 Hudson Valley-based musicians, performance artists, dancers, actors, and visual artists have been performing an otherworldly and immersive experience INSIDE of the earth called 'Seeds Under Nuclear Winter: An Earth Opera'.

Written and directed by composer, harpist, and healing artist Elizabeth Clark, the 'Earth Opera' recreates lucid dreams and visions through live world and sacred music, movement, storytelling, and experiments with light. Orchestrated for harps, ethereal choir, Andean instruments, bagpipes, Indonesian gamelan, strings, drones, piano, and ancient Celtic Carnyx dragon horns, the 'Earth Opera' takes place in a post-apocalyptic atmosphere, centered on finding hope, light, and beauty in the darkest times—and on our deep connection with all living things, our planet, and with each other.

Performed LITERALLY underground in an old and vast amphitheater-like cement mine in Rosendale, NY, the Earth Opera has been well received by an audience of over 2,000 people throughout the last 4 years of performances. People have described the experience as 'Transformational,' 'Deeply healing,' 'Completely transporting,' 'Otherworldly,' and 'like a dream from which I did not wish to awaken.' The figures that appear in the Earth Opera include a host of otherworldly beings including Jesus, Hanuman, Green Tara, Krishna, Saint Francis, Hildegard of Bingen, Mother Mary, Neem Karoli Baba, Saint Margaret of the Parking Lot, as well as many prophets from around the world, a nameless narcissistic dictator, televangelist, a doomsday clock seamstress, a 'selfie squad', luminous birds floating on the waters of the mine, serpents, whales, monks, seraphim, a 'dance army' wearing luminous spaghetti colander helmets, and many veiled Beings. The Earth Opera brings the entire audience on an immersive journey through earthly and otherworldly realms.

These performances with 35 artists in a cave have been made possible through the help of crowdfunding, grants, and local sponsors. Some of these resources have now been exhausted and we are no longer eligible for repeat funding.

Now does not seem like the moment to stop sharing the light and the hope that lives in this body of work. But we need your help!
We'd like to bring the Earth Opera to the Widow Jane Mine again this summer to continue evolving the vision, telling the stories, and uplifting the people!
