'Between Us' is a Swinburne Capstone Short Film written and directed by Maddison True. The project is backed by a talent crew of Swinburne students graduating from the Bachelor of Screen Production. The story follows two estranged sisters Lori and Esther reuniting for a road trip to their Mothers funeral. What begins with awkward small talk quickly unravels into old resentments and conflicting memories of their childhood. When an argument collides with tragedy on the road, the sisters are forced into a moment of stillness that strips away their defenses. In the quiet aftermath, they find not resolution, but the first fragile steps toward recognition and understanding.
