Hi, we’re Fight Dad’s, a boxing community dedicated to empowering fathers and young boxers. Our IG page and YouTube channel is run by Thomas McElroy (musician and proud boxing dad) and independent filmmaker Renee Moncada, a storyteller committed to amplifying powerful stories that often go unseen.

Our latest project is a feature documentary film that dives into the lives of young boxers—both girls and boys—from Oakland. It’s a raw and real portrayal of their struggles, victories, and the fathers who teach them life lessons both in and out of the ring.

This film captures the resilience, grit, and heart of the boxing culture in Oakland and the Bay Area at large. It’s not just about the sport—it’s about family, dreams, and the transformative power boxing has on a young person’s life.

Renee has spent years documenting boxing’s rich culture and is passionate about sharing these inspiring stories—but we need your help to bring it to life.
