Fund the Innowalk Pro at Bedelsford Special School

Due to the amazing support of all of you we have now reached our target, with the final £16,000 pledged from the Victoria Foundation. Any further funds raised on this platform will go towards a new Mini Bus so the children can attend events such as the weekly Frame Running, swimming lessons and other extra curricular experiences.

All the children at Bedelsford School are special. So special that they are all getting moving to raise funds for an Innowalk - an amazing machine that can keep their bodies moving and healthy, regardless of their physical abilities. Whether they can stand, sit or even shuffle in bed or not...

Our children have some of the most complex needs of any School locally. So much so that 9 different boroughs in London and Surrey send their children here due to expertise of the staff and School facilities.

We desperately need an Innowalk to help our children to achieve the physical health they deserve. All children should all have an hour of physical activity per day. Children with complex needs rarely have the opportunity to achieve this due to the lack of equipment that can fully support them and allow them to move normally.

The large Innowalk Pro costs £46000 so that is our goal. It will be fully adjustable to all our secondary kids can use it regardless of height or weight.

Please, please help us to achieve out goal! The kids are going to be walking for as long as it takes in their walkers, with adults supporting or if they are able around the local park. We are counting each step!

Scientific evidence has shown that the innowalk encourages normal bone growth (a lot of children with cerebral palsy need hip surgery and evidence suggests that the innowalk prevents this). It also really helps with high tone, cardiac health, gastrointestinal health and makes them stronger, happier, more regulated and ready to learn!
