Shane who is a husband, father and son has recently passed away from a heart attack. They kept him on life support long enough that he could donate his organs. His wife and the rest of us agree that is what he would have wanted.

He had his heart attack at home Saturday night. Gitana (his wife) went in to bring him food and say goodnight and found him unresponsive. She tried to wake him and did what she could. The paramedics worked on him for a long time and then the doctors at the hospital. They said his heart stopped many times and his brain went without oxygen for way too long. They managed to get him stable but after all the tests the neurologist found no brain function. It’s hard to not have a glimmer of hope when you see him lying there and just looks like he is sleeping. It looks like he is breathing but they continually reminded us it is the machines breathing for him.

He was only 45, way too young to be gone. Shane had such a big heart and a way with words. He loved his family to the end. His wife and son meant the world to him, as did his Mom, brothers and sister, and all his extended family as well.

Shane was missing his Dad his whole life since he was only 6 when he passed. We pray that he has met up with him in heaven. Shane Snyder, you are loved! God bless your heart!
