Back in 2020 when the world was a weird place to be in, I was pretty honed in on climbing trees for my business, Tree Steward LLC Treestewardship.com. At the time I was living in Golden CO. I was single with lots of free time. My particular focus was on canopy anchoring SRS. Why was every method or tool used for canopy anchoring SRT lacking in some regard!!? Most methods were either too time consuming to set-up or caused excessive friction when retrieving the system. With the help of past experiences in rope access and big wall free climbing, I had the opportunity to utilize a lot of tools to safely ascend, descend and position myself in the vertical realm.

In a few days time I cobbled together a working prototype from some different tools that were already on the market for life safety equipment. Still lacking on multiple fronts, I set out on what I though was going to be a short mission to inventing the first Mid-Line Attachable Cambium Saving Canopy Anchor. Almost 5 years in and lots of money, time and maybe some tears, and now married with two children, were finally putting the finishing touches on what will be the first batch of KBNest anchors. We have started a Gofundme to help make the first batch of 50 which will be strength tested and stamped for life support use. Our goals for early summer 2025 along with the first batch of 50, will be to make an instruction guide PDF for safe use as well as a how too video showing the anchor in use. These will be available on our website www.treestewardship.com.

Any donors contributing $250 or more will receive one of the first KBNest anchors immediately after they are made. The remaining Nest anchors will be sold on our website.
