Help Fund the Future of The First and the Fearless

As I prepare to graduate on May 16, I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had through the Texas Institute for the Preservation of History and Culture (TIPHC) and Prairie View A&M University to lead projects that honor Black history with care and creativity. One of the most meaningful of these has been a semester-long investment of time, The First and the Fearless, an ongoing exhibition and public history project honoring the legacy of Black servicemen and women.

While I will no longer be employed by the university after graduation and will lose access to institutional resources, I remain fully committed to seeing this project through, at the same high standard of quality and professionalism you've come to know and expect from me.

That’s why, instead of a traditional graduation registry, I’m inviting you to support something deeply important to me. Your donation will go directly toward the material and production costs of The First and the Fearless—including exhibition design, printing, archival display materials, and public programming. The Exhibit will be displayed June 16th- 20th at the College of the Mainland Student center following a program on June 17th I would be apart of.

If you’ve followed my previous work (as shown in picture provided) or believe in the importance of preserving and sharing stories of courage, resilience, and legacy in the Black military experience, your support would mean the world to me. It will help ensure this next phase of the project continues to thrive, even as I transition into independent work.
