Fund the Final Steps for A.B.C.'s Raptor Flight Cage

Hello, I am Ashley Kolnowski, Founder of the Alpena’s Bird Center. I founded the Center when I realized that there were very few local options to provide medical assistance to local songbirds, Raptors and waterfowl. I have been operating the Bird Center now for 2 years and during that time I have had over 250 intakes. A.B.C. is an in-home rehabilitation facility with the full intention to have our own building & expanded property someday. Until then, I am grateful to have my property to construct large flight cages used to condition birds so they can be returned to the wild. Time in the flight cages focuses on wing strength, live-prey testing, ability to fly successfully, etc. I have been fortunate to be able to take in Eagles this past year but unfortunately have had to transport them to another facility to receive the flight conditioning due to not having a completed flight cage large enough to meet U.S. Fish & Wildlife requirements. Construction was started on this large Raptor flight cage but was halted due to funds being depleted. I recently applied for grants & was awarded some funding – which I am beyond appreciate of. Recent quotes show that I am still a few thousand dollars short to be able to add the trusses, roof and remaining parts of the enclosure. For these grants to remain in my possession I need a completed flight cage in the coming months. I love what I do and would like to be able to see all aspects of the rehab process through my Center for these larger Raptors. Transporting adds stress to the animal & our goal as Rehabbers is to be thorough and keep the Birds in care for the least amount of time needed. The community has been incredibly supportive of my efforts & for that I am thankful. I want to do more! I will need this additional space to be able to do that for these magnificent creatures. Being able to fully rehab them & watch them return to their rightful place is something that is beautiful for me, the community and the Bird. Can you help A.B.C. achieve the funding to complete our Raptor flight cage which is required to be completed by March 2025?
