Otter Game Jam is a biannual game development event that occurs worldwide and locally at California State University Monterey Bay.
Otter Jam is FREE event that does not require any participation fees. However, we need another funding source to provide quality prizes, food, and even guest speakers for our game jam. Hence, this Go Fund Me.
This fundraiser is not directly affiliated with the CSUMB college. I am a professor who hosts this jam as a benefit to my students and all others interested in game development. Please donate only what you can, and be sure to check out the current otter jam hosted on itch.io, along with the two previous and successful Otter Jam sessions.
Here is an exact breakdown of how this fundraiser will be used:
To cover cost of Otter Jam T-shirts produced for the previous otter jam : $300
- Our fundraising source for the t-shirts last year did not come through. I paid for them out of pocket. If you ordered a t-shirt that you did not win as a prize, I encourage you to donate what you are able to as compensation! But you are not required to donate, even if you receive a shirt.
Commission money to pay artists to create more promotional material for the jam : $200
- Currently, I am the only person dedicated to designing Otter Jam art & promotional materials I would like to involve students and independent artists alike to help me promote and inform about the jam.
