Please help fund the cremation cost of Loki

We absolutely didn't think we'd need to do this but we are asking for help with funding Loki's cremation costs...

After losing our old boy Indy to a stroke in August 2024, we adopted Loki from a cat rescue in Manchester on the 27th December 2024. Chosen by our 6 year old son Fox because he was a cheeky high energy kitten who bonded almost immediately with him.

Fox and Loki were two peas in a pod, chasing eachother, getting into mischief. Fox would tell us days he saw Loki in the park or at the school, and he would tell anyone who would listen about his precious cat.

On Sunday 2nd November this year Loki managed to slip out the back in the evening. Loki was absolutely an outdoors cat, loving the rural life messing about in the fields and the open spaces. We didn't think too much when he didn't come back in the morning, but by the afternoon we were worried.

Two days of walking around the village shouting for him, posts on Facebook asking people to check sheds and keep an eye out, and even buying a printer to print out posters to hang up.

On Tuesday afternoon a neighbour knocked on the door. She'd found a cat in her garden. It was Loki. He'd passed away.

Devastated I got him home and desperately started organising vets appointment as I couldn't have our son see Loki like this.

The vets confirmed he'd been hit by a car, probably early Monday morning. Loki was 1 year, 2 months old.

We have organised his cremation so we can bury him in our garden with Indy. The problem we face is, no one plans the save cremation costs for a 1 year old cat, and with it only being a little over a year since Indy we were not expecting to pay for another one. Plus both myself and Lewis have had job changes over the past few months
which hit us financially, and we've already dipped into what savings we had.

Simply put, we don't have the £180 needed for the crematorium.

We hate asking for help :( and it's an awful position to be in. If anyone can help in any way we would massively appreciate it.
