Fund Thais' Heartfelt Play in NYC
Donation protected
Hey, my name is Thaїs. After years of raising my family and cheering from the sidelines while working and building initiatives for students in higher education, I finally took a leap for myself—moving to New York to pursue my lifelong dream of acting. I waited until my youngest graduated high school, and now here I am: in the city that never sleeps, taking acting classes, and about to perform in my very first off-off Broadway production.
But this isn’t just any play—it’s a story I wrote from the heart. It’s about family, love, and the powerful presence of a father. In it, I play the role of my dad—a tribute to the man who helped shape who I am today.
This production means everything to me. It’s the culmination of a dream deferred, and a story meant to be shared. I’ve spent my life building platforms for others to share their stories—through theater,
mentorship, and education. Now I’m asking for your help to bring my story to the stage; I can’t do it alone. Theater is magic, but it’s not free. I'm raising funds to cover venue/rehearsal space, set design/costumes, lighting/sound, marketing/outreach, and paying fellow artists fairly.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps bring this vision to life. If you’ve ever had a dream you waited on—for family, for love, for life—then this play is for you too. Thank you for helping me turn years of hope into a night of storytelling on the stage.
