I am reaching out for your support to undertake some crucial work that I cannot burden alone.

I have been invited to attend the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp this January 2025. This opportunity will greatly enhance the work I am doing to bring the "In Front of Your Eyes" live virtual tour of Auschwitz and Holocaust education to students throughout the United States. I am honored to be the only public school educator invited to this important event, reflecting my unique volunteer work with the Auschwitz Birkenau Foundation.

Attending this anniversary is an important opportunity to further make the connections necessary in making this program successful in the U.S. After my return to Massachusetts, I plan to share my experiences with organizations such as Echoes and Reflections, Facing History and Ourselves, as well as teacher education programs in higher education and secondary schools across the nation.

I understand there are many urgent needs in society, but the work I am doing for the Foundation and the educational community is vital. It is essential for our students' well-being to witness history firsthand and grasp its significance in their everyday lives. My volunteer work with Auschwitz, which includes bringing the live virtual tour into classrooms, provides students with the knowledge they need to make informed choices for humanity. Attending this anniversary will help foster connections and deepen the understanding of history, which is crucial for society's efforts to preserve our collective humanity. I am leading a grassroots movement, reaching out person to person and school to school, to achieve this goal.
