This letter supports Taleese Garnette and Justine Garnette, who are currently Little Wound High school students. Who will travel to Boulder, Colorado, to participate in the CU campus's six-week Upward Bound summer program. The summer program helps students prepare for college and provides fantastic learning opportunities for success in their college journey. Taleese is in her second year, and Justine is in her last year. They are raising money for school supplies, dorm necessities, and additional spending money for their weekend field trips. The six-week academic journey relies on support and motivation from family and peers. The success of Justine and Taleese at Upward Bound will be directly aided by any donations to cover the costs and extracurricular expenditures for activities outside of student learning.
Students are chosen to attend the Upward Bound program by showing dedication and a positive attitude among teachers and peers. Native American students are given the chance to demonstrate academics, and professional growth while building memories. Most importantly grades are an essential factor in the success of this summer program. Financial assistance for these two young ladies is much needed as they will be hours away from home. Please consider donating funds to help them enjoy a fun academic summer at the Colorado University campus as they gain knowledge from other students and collegiate members of the Upward Bound Program. Your assistance and the time taken to read this request is greatly appreciated.
