My name is Traci and I am organizing this fundraiser to help support my dear friend Virna and her two children Nicolas and Stella, who lost their dad Miguel on April 7th, after a long and tough battle with cancer.

Miguel was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and was determined to fight it with everything he got. He endured multiple treatments over the years while continuing to work through it all, until last year when the disease progressed and he enrolled in a clinical trial. Unfortunately, things took a quick turn for the worse in March. He continued to fight until the very end.

Education was extremely important to Miguel and he always encouraged his children to work hard and continue learning. By contributing to this GoFundMe, you will be contributing to Nicolas (9th grade) and Stella (5th grade) and their educational endeavors. It takes a village to raise children and we want to make sure they know they are not alone. Any amount will truly help them on their journey.
