Fund Stella’s Life Saving Surgery

Donation protected
After visiting the pet shop one day to buy fish food, a selection of treats were left of the counter and a bone was chosen. Purchasing this from a local well known pet shop nothing was thought of otherwise. This £3 treat has now racked up a bill of close £4000, Stella is insured however Tesco Insurance will only pay up to £2000. This means we have to somehow find £2000, and we are just 2 hard working class people living month by month in this current economy, we do not have the funds for this in any way shape or form. We had a choice of to sort this money by begging and borrowing or she would be put to sleep, we have managed to scrape a deposit and she has had the surgery and now we have to pay the remaining an amount we simply don’t have. She is 1 and half years old, she is the only other female in the house and I am her human, she’s a true cocker spaniel who pees herself when she’s excited, she cries in happiness, she is more of a galloping deer than dog, she loves everybody and anybody, she has no fear or sense of danger. She is as mad as a box of frogs, and she is so loved, not just by me and my husband but our two sons, to them she is called Stellzybells.

Since having the bone on August 31st Stella has been unwell, she has lost over 3kg in weight, she has been vomiting a brown substance that smelt like poo, she has been in discomfort, lethargic and not herself. First appointment she was given anti-sickness medication and there was no change, after further symptoms and pain I took her back, we were made aware she was severely dehydrated despite my best efforts to keep her drinking, after blood tests she had no infection, she then had a ultrasound scan which confirmed the foreign object in her intestine and was rushed for life saving surgery. Due to the lack of nutrition and blood to the intestines the area surrounding the object became necrotic and she has had 50% of her intestine removed and it being attached back together in the hopes it stays. She is in the VET ICU at My Pet Clayton-Le Dale in a critical but stable condition, 8pm this evening I received a call to say that she is beginning to come to from the surgery, she is requiring round the clock care and just hope and pray she is going to get through this.

Any donation would be appreciated from the bottom of my heart, even £1 towards her surgery cost

We have been told due to our insurance being with Tesco and not the vets insurance directly they will only accept payment upfront and we have to claim back off insurance. Essentially I need nearly £4000 before I can get my dog back. I have cleared my accounts to get her the surgery and I truly have nothing left.
