Mikesell family facing uncertain future needs help

This is a story about a man, Jon Mikesell and his family.  Jon was diagnosed with cancer in 2016. It happened around the same time a tree fell on his family's home during Hurricane Matthew. The cancer initially started in the kidney but has metastasized to several areas of the spine.   Everything hit at once and any money that they had for college funds or retirement has been wiped out. In addition to being burdened with overwhelming  mounting medical bills,the Mikesell's home is still in need of desperate repairs that were not covered by homeowner's insurance.  The hurricane damage caused major leaks and black mold in their home and most of the flooring needs to be replaced.  Throughout the whole house, there's something that needs to be done.

Jon is holding on to hope and fighting to live, despite that doctors have said no one has outlived this particular cancer and that it is terminal.  Bethany is currently in school, working, and taking care of their 6 children and Jon.  Currently, Jon is having to take time off from work at Massey.  Jon has said, "If I happen to go, it's bad enough for my family to lose me, but to lose our home and everything, it would be hard for me to go leaving that,"
