Hello, my name is Simon Beltran! I am 18 years old and will spend my summer as Co-Drum Major for the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corp. This has always been a dream of mine and one I want to continue to pursue; however, I need YOUR help!
If you do not know what Drum Corps International or DCI is, it is a highly competitive marching circuit in the United States with 30+ marching bands that rehearse and tour the country all summer, leading to a 3-day Finals competition in Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. I am part of the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corp from Casper, Wyoming, where I am their Co-Drum Major, which means I lead the corp and conduct. This has been a long-running dream of mine since high school, and I have finally had the opportunity to accomplish it.
Sadly, due to the current state of the activity, fees have been rising, and with all the travel, equipment, and price of camps, it can be up to $6,000 spent or more. Any amount of money is greatly appreciated so that I can continue this dream and allocate my money towards college. Thank you so much!
