Our friend Shelley Thompson’s first feature film, "Dawn, Her Dad, & the Tractor" goes into production this month, and we want to spread the news and support a final funding push! As you can imagine, the pandemic has led to many changes on set that mean new costs for filmmakers.
This is an important and beautiful film. Transgender issues are under fire around the world, but more importantly, this film will provoke the understanding, empathy, and acceptance that is long overdue.
Shelley's a talented filmmaker who lives in gorgeous Nova Scotia (featured in the film). As the mother of a trans person, Shelley has a transformative message for the world. This story will move our hearts, entertain us, and help create timely change.
Be a part of this amazing project. We're aiming for $100,000 by July 27 when cameras roll. No donation is too little or too much!

Film Synopsis: As a young trans woman and her estranged father begin to restore the old family tractor, they cautiously rebuild their relationship and come to understand the mechanics of the heart.
