Introduction & Purpose of Fundraising

Hello, I’m Samsara—a creator, a healer, and someone who moves with the rhythms of the earth and the whispers of my ancestors. My heritage, drawn from Indigenous, Chinese, Indonesian, Japanese, and Indian roots, carries the wisdom of survival, resilience, and transformation through countless generations. As I walk this path, I feel called to share what has been gifted to me through movement, sound, and ritual—an offering for healing, for connection, and for peace.

My journey began in the Sacred Valley of Peru, where I first set foot in 2012. At that time, I didn’t yet understand the depth of the land’s pull, but over time, my connection to the people and traditions of the Andes grew. In 2020, after a long journey of migration and learning, I returned to Peru. It was here that I began working with plant medicine, facilitating spaces for healing through dance, and supporting community-based projects that center women and ancestral wisdom.

What am I raising funds for?

The Spirit of Gentleness is more than just a song. It is a prayer born from the deepest corners of my heart, a call for gentleness in a world that feels increasingly fractured. In 2024, I had the privilege of working with Rose, a Master Plant, during a sacred dieta. This profound experience led me to confront the world's pain, from the struggles of families torn apart to the injustices faced by Indigenous peoples and those impacted by conflict and war. In the silence of this dieta, I offered my prayers—prayers for healing, for gentleness, for a return to compassion.

As I sit with the current state of the world—witnessing the devastation of natural disasters, the widening gap between the privileged and the oppressed, the ongoing cycles of violence and injustice—I feel a deep urgency to offer something that can bring healing in these times. The Spirit of Gentleness is a direct response to the suffering we see around us. It is a reminder that even in the darkest moments, we have the power to soften our hearts, to choose compassion, and to meet ourselves and each other with kindness.

This song is a reminder that gentleness is not weakness—it is strength. It is the strength to sit with discomfort, to listen to the pain without judgment, and to act with love even when the world feels chaotic. It is an invitation to return to ourselves, to our bodies, to the earth, and to each other. Amidst the noise and division, this song seeks to offer a stillness, a space where healing can begin.

The funds raised will support the production of this song here in the Sacred Valley of Peru, a place that continues to teach me about the power of stillness, reverence, and ancestral wisdom. The resources will go toward recording, mixing, and mastering the track, so that this prayer can be shared with as many hearts as possible. My intention is that The Spirit of Gentleness will not only be heard but felt deeply, allowing its message to resonate in a world that desperately needs more gentleness, more understanding, and more love.

This is not just a personal creative project—this is an offering to the collective. In a time when the world is often filled with noise, confusion, and pain, I believe that art, music, and prayer can be potent tools for transformation.
