ROPES is a not-for-profit, annual literary journal managed entirely by the University of Galway’s MA Literature and Publishing program. Since its inception in 1992, ROPES has been a platform for artistic voices both nationally and internationally. We welcome all writers, whether new or established, with a focus on poetry and prose. We also welcome submissions from visual artists.
Supporting this fundraiser will help us market, produce, and publish the 34th issue of ROPES. Additionally, every year ROPES donates all profits to a charity, and this year we are honoured to say we will be donating to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.
The Palestine Children's Relief Fund is a volunteer-based non-profit that provides free medical care to thousands of children each who lack local access to care within the local health care system. They provide food, clean water, baby formula, hygiene kits, winter clothing, and shelter to orphans, amputees, and displaced families. As Gaza faces a devastating humanitarian crisis, PCRF has been working tirelessly to provide medical aid, food, and life-saving treatment to the people of Palestine. You can learn more about their work by visiting their website.
By donating to this fundraiser, you can give upcoming writers and poets a chance to establish themselves, contribute to the artistic and literary community of Ireland, and most importantly, support a global cause knowing that our profits will go to Palestine.
