Hi, my name is Melissa Johnson. I am raising medical/expense funds for our dear friend, Reydon Recker. Back in April 2017, Reydon was diagnosed, for the first time, with cancer. He became a cancer survivor about a year later.
Unfortunately, in April of this year, Reydon spent time in M.D. Anderson where he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma of the GI tract.
Due to the extent of illness and treatment, Reydon is no longer able to work during treatment. He had to assume COBRA as his insurance (outrageously expensive). He lives in Eakly and has to drive into OKC 10 times a month for treatments. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy, and the tumor is responding so well to the treatment that the doctors recently told him that they think they will be able to go in and surgically remove the tumor.
He is blessed with a supportive tribe of family and friends, but the monthly expenses associated with ongoing treatment have become overwhelming. He is proud and has always considered himself to be the provider. Not being able to take care of himself financially has been extremely humbling and difficult.
Please consider donating anything possible to help him with all the expenses associated with Stage 4 cancer treatment. Reydon is a man of extreme faith. He believes that God will get him through to the other side of this season in his life. The doctors believe that with continued treatment, Reydon will make it. Even $5 can make a difference when so much is on the line.
I appreciate each of you for caring enough to learn about our dear friend. If God puts it on your heart, consider contributing. If that is not possible for you, please share and get the word out. The Johnsons and the Reckers have big plans to hang out and enjoy the country life for many more years to come.
