Who are we?

Ross University School of Medicine's Surgery Medical Specialty Interest Group (RUSM SMSIG)

What do we do?

We focus on providing resources, events, and mentorship for students interested in perusing surgical careers. We have over 300 members nationally with active chapters at various clinical training sites throughout the United States. Our events include simulation labs, workshops, journal clubs, community outreach, and much more.

What are we fundraising for?

Every term we offer a research scholarship of $200 to a high achieving student to help cover costs of their research endeavors, and encourage our students in their pursuit of knowledge. Our recipients are carefully selected and we ensure that the funding is going towards their work.

Our goal is to raise $1200 to cover 6 x $200 research scholarships for upcoming terms.
